“A book full of quotes. It is the book, in which the lines must be quoted and not para-phrased.” This might just be perfect for a #QuoteHoarder like me.
I think I will add this in my to-be-read shelf in honor of Tessa Gray and Will Herondale’s love for the book. ]]>

A Tale of Two Cities was one of the very first “grown up” novels I ever read, and I think that’s one reason it remains a favorite for me. Sidney Carton was the first fictional character I encountered who was full of bad habits, yet did something heroic. I liked that change from children’s stories. And the clever knitting! That stuck with me. ]]> By: @amanhimself http://readingbooks.blog/2015/08/02/book-review-a-tale-of-two-cities-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5055 Thu, 13 Jul 2017 14:06:05 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=2969#comment-5055 Thanks for sharing link. We do grow when we read.

I admire Dickens’ writing from childhood days too. First book I read of him was Oliver Twist.

I became a fan of Dickens then. It’s wonderful you do so much reading. We grow when we read. 🙂 ]]> By: Brooke W http://readingbooks.blog/2015/08/02/book-review-a-tale-of-two-cities-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5052 Sun, 09 Jul 2017 14:34:32 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=2969#comment-5052 Thanks for your review Aman, I was reading a few Tale Of Two Cities essays that mention a lot of points you made if you want to check those out! ]]> By: cellenbogen http://readingbooks.blog/2015/08/02/book-review-a-tale-of-two-cities-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5051 Sun, 19 Mar 2017 23:39:55 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=2969#comment-5051 Well, I never thought of Two Cities as a mystery. I do like it more than you do. I guess I don’t mind the broad strokes he uses to paint the French Revolution. I didn’t know about the Carlyle, so thanks for that. I will have to try Bleak House one of these days.

And I’d love to hear more about why Dickens matters so much to you.
