The year 2018: Will write an Ebook

This year, one of my goals is to write and publish an ebook.ūüėĀI am using my laptop to write one currently. I brainstormed for months last year to write about what?

How to Hack Your Mornings So You Get Most of Your Time

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive -to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. (Marcus Aurelius)

About six months before, I was not a morning person at all. I chose not give mornings the importance they deserve and failed to realise that I was missing out on different things but more importantly, being productive.

Boost Your Blogging Confidence and Write that Post

Lack of confidence is one of the reason why bloggers don’t publish their posts. Especially, in this age of information overload, we tend to gather much information without much effort about the needed topic or content interesting to us but due to lack of confidence your best post has never been published yet.¬†We all struggle with the confidence at times when it comes to hitting the publish button. I have been blogging for more than four years and I battle the same force of struggle as you do, to feel confident. I have my doubt and worries similar to yours.

Social Media for Book Bloggers

When it comes to promoting my blog, I find social media platforms beneficial. Though, there are so many social media platforms that it becomes overwhelming for me at times. I lose my focus, and a few times it had led to blogging slump.

I advise you to not to lose your focus and introduce yourself into a slump. For a start, concentrate on a number of sites that you think will be beneficial for your blog promotion and long term networking. This way you can focus on growing your network of followers on those particular platforms. Of course, you don’y have to pick handful of social media sites. If you love social media, and want to use all of them, go ahead and do that! Personally, for me, I feel that it’s easier and more beneficial to start with a small number.

My 500th Blog Post

500 posts feel like little piece of milestone. I wasn’t looking to this when I started blogging.

Blogging has definitely changed my life

Blogging has definitely changed my life in these ways:

  • Its a door that leads to many more doors.
  • It gave me my first opportunity to get published as poet.
  • Blogging has help to revive my reading habit and stick to it¬†no matter what.

The Secret Life of a Book Blogger

Credit: Paperback brii

This is my first attempt to participate in a book tag or a book award. In time, I have been nominated by fellow bloggers for awards but I never took any particular interest in responding and to continue the tradition from my side. My apologies. However, I tend to enjoy the questionnaire of these book tags and blogger awards since it is fun and informative when bloggers share their experience through these variety of posts.

Nobody nominated me this time for The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag but I feel motivated to do this myself. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy this type. I’d like to thank QuirkyVictorian from Over Analysing Literature for introducing me to this tag. Do check out her blog, she’s a bibliophile just like you and me.

How long have you been a blogger?

This is my first book blog and I have been dragging on for four years now.

At what point do you think you will stop?

When I am sucked out of all the energy inside me, or when I stop reading books.

Things I Have Learned About Blogging

It is going to be three years and some months this¬†month in the¬†business of blogging.¬†I am glad I am still going on. Earlier when I started blogging I did not think much about how am I going to take it forward or will I ever run out of ideas and blog posts some¬†day? That idea of running out of blog posts sometimes still haunts me today, mostly when I am not writing a blog post. It’s okay I guess with a blog and an audience(of course, you guys) comes a greater responsibility.

I must say I enjoy blogging. I enjoy writing posts, I enjoy keeping a word limit for every post and trying not to exceed it, I enjoy sharing my views and opinions, and I enjoy when people give their feedback. I am glad to made some friends here.

I think there were times when I used to think that I will soon burn out and stop blogging but I guess if you take your time in doing the thing, you never burn out and run off the ideas. Another thing this blog drives me to do is to read books. Books and books and more books. I can say because of the blog I have read a vast variety of books. I get to know about¬†a new book which I have never heard or read, almost every week. (more…)
