Thanks Dan, thanks for reading my poem… 🙂
No Dan, there were just no clouds, it’s just a irony you can say that ” not a single cloud, not a single one grey” it’s just my way of representing that sky was clear and blue and the day would be just fine and not gloomy.
Exactly, rose is a mortal thing, it will never last and after all it has thorns which might just hurt someone. Love, can never be expressed through mortal or imaginary things like angels and et cetera. Love is between two beautiful people, its an understanding, sharing, compromising, and if love is based on these things, I don’t see a point of all mortal things interfering between the two lovers. I understand that you have to express your love for someone through giving them gifts and other things but my main idea was that it should not be like, “he didn’t gave me a box of chocolates on valentine’s day, so e does not love me”, but it is not necessary. This is not love. Love is to understand each other.

It has some very interesting ideas and thoughts on love. I also like the imagery, such as the meeting with the angel, and I like that the poem tells a story.

I’m curious about certain parts. You say there was not a single cloud, but then you say “not a single one grey,” as if there are clouds of other colours in the sky. I like it because it makes me think, but I’m wondering what it meant for you. I also want to know more about the rose and the fruit. The person wants the rose, but the rose says that it has more thorns than petals. Is that because the rose is a “mortal thing” that doesn’t last, or is it a warning that the person might be hurt by his love?

I like the poem. It seems to have a lot of meaning.
