The Boy by Madhuri Blaylock
Series: The Sanctum #2
Genres: Fiction
three-stars

Remember me reviewing The Girl which was packed with intense action? I did confessed about my unlikelihood of paranormal romance. Madhuri, again proved my own conscience wrong of my unlikelihood.

Well The Boy just doubles the fun. Madhuri’s ‘accustom to a reader’ writing does wonders. It hooks a reader, grabs his attention just as one is on an edge of wherever he currently resides, until one is done with it. It straightway picks where the first one landed and takes a reader to another unforgettable experience. I was pulled in From the beginning and am amazed of well written and descriptive the story is. Plotting is notable and noble. Recurrence of POVs between characters didn’t affect me much this time, I guess I am used to it now. The pace is one again of my favorite part about this book. I enjoyed the second part even better.

In The Girl, Madhuri Blaylock introduced readers to the world of The Sanctum, one corrupted by greed and savagery and hellbent on achieving a single goal: destroying the prophesied hybrid. When one of its most celebrated warriors questioned his allegiances, age-old secrets were unveiled and violence erupted. The journey becomes more perilous and intense as the trilogy surges forward with The Boy. Dev and Wyatt change all of that when the prophesied hybrid lands on the steps of Rinshun Palace, seeking help for the wounded Class A Warrior. That decision alters lives and sets old agendas back on course.

The Boy is the second book in THE SANCTUM Trilogy. I think I’ll have to wait for the third.

I’d like to thank the author as I received this book from the author herself, in exchange of the honest feedback.

You can visit her at the website.

I recently interviewed her, so check out our gossips!

      • Wow! That’s quite a compliment coming from a guy that does not tend to read my genre. Thank you, Aman. I, too, am rather partial to Wyatt, but Darby always gives him a good run for his money when it comes to my affections. Me, personally, I have two favorite scenes: the first is when Dev goes to see Wyatt the day he’s working at the ovens and the second is between Wyatt and his dad, Josiah. The two of them and their bond is very special to me.

Anyway, again, thanks so much and keep up the great work.

Also, book III: The Prophecy is coming this winter, so be ready – I’ll be sending a copy your way.

  1. Reblogged this on Madhuri Blaylock and commented:
Blogger Aman Mittal just finished reading THE BOY and says he “was pulled in from the beginning.” Holy smokes, that’s a great way to start the week. Check out the rest of his review and hit The Sanctum Bookstore when you have a chance to snag your own copy of THE BOY.

    Happy Monday, bitches.
