you are right. I believe nobody can be perfect in a particular language since the language is changing from generation to generation but one should be have willing to adapt the changes. 🙂
Only thing is, really butchering the grammar is a bar to effective communication. Some standardization of the language is necessary. Otherwise you’ve got the Tower of Babel all over again.
