Thank you for letting me know! ]]> By: curioushart http://readingbooks.blog/2016/04/13/book-review-great-expectations-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5749 Wed, 02 Aug 2017 03:36:31 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=3373#comment-5749 What I remember most about Great Expectations is how Dickens revealed much of his characters through their names–especially Miss Havisham (Have a sham.) Anthony Trollope did the same thing with his characters (Mrs. Proudie). Great article. ]]> By: @amanhimself http://readingbooks.blog/2016/04/13/book-review-great-expectations-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5748 Thu, 20 Jul 2017 03:34:52 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=3373#comment-5748 Thank you so much Saloni! The original ending is intriguing. ]]> By: saloni http://readingbooks.blog/2016/04/13/book-review-great-expectations-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5747 Wed, 19 Jul 2017 04:01:06 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=3373#comment-5747 I hated the ending of “Great Expectations”. Dickens wrote two endings for it and I feel that the original was much better. Yeah, I feel similar. For someone who might not have read Dickens, this will be good start though. ]]> By: Jen http://readingbooks.blog/2016/04/13/book-review-great-expectations-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5745 Wed, 12 Jul 2017 14:15:45 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=3373#comment-5745 Thanks for visiting my blog!
I loved this book in h.s. It was my first Dickens read and I read it several times and then saw many on-screen treatments of it. I just adore creepy Miss H. I wonder if I would like the book as much as an adult, though. ]]>

I keep in my mind while reviewing, what a reader would think generally, and my experience with book.
This certainly not Charles Dickens work I’d recommend to someone not familiar with Mr. Dickens himself, although that’s hardly the case. Mr. Dickens with his works like David Copperfield and others certainly raise a reader’s expectations. ]]>

I didn’t really enjoy this novel, and the points you make put in to words why, I think. ]]> By: Aman(@amanhimself) http://readingbooks.blog/2016/04/13/book-review-great-expectations-by-charles-dickens/#comment-5741 Sun, 24 Apr 2016 06:31:01 +0000 https://amandeepmittal.wordpress.com/?p=3373#comment-5741 It failed to visualise for me what you have written above in the comment. ]]>
