THE LORD OF THE RINGS – A TRILOGY?

Posted June 17, 2012 by @amanhimself in Uncategorized / 0 Comments

The Lord of The Rings is often erroneously called a trilogy, though it is not so. It is a single novel, consisting of six books plus appendices (important part) which is sometimes published in three volumes. I know it is a masterpiece, but I will agree with myself when I shall complete reading it(only a few hundred pages are left, plus the indexes and appendices. They are also an important part of the book. I also like to daydream with those maps of The Middle Earth for few minutes). All the three volumes. No its a single novel. All three volumes were published in just more than one year, in 1954 The Fellowship of the Ring, then in last months of 1954 the […]

As a cat got Nine Lives; A Writer got two!

Posted June 11, 2012 by @amanhimself in Uncategorized / 0 Comments

As writers, we live double lives: lived once in the world of others, and again, in the quiet of our own minds. It takes a certain amount of will and courage to leave with regularity the circle of humanity in order to enact a kind of theft, which is one aspect of what the writing life seems to be. Certainly, I will end these beautiful words by saying that a writer  does not write what we all can say, but what we are unable to say.   Robert Frost Once Said: No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.

WHAT ARE ZINES AND BLOGS?

Posted May 19, 2012 by @amanhimself in Uncategorized / 0 Comments

Zines are small magazines that  have a very small distribution and are  often produced by hobbyists and journalists. Some famous zines are 2600 zine or Phrack Hacking web zine(or e-zine), are written by volunteers and producers do not edit the content for non-technical errors. Blogs are a modernization of the zine. Blogs are updated more often and like zines anyone may have any kind of opinion. For blogs, it is must to read the commentary as much as the post.
