A LIFE (A Poem)

A LIFE (A Poem) by Aman Mittal Touch it, it won’t shrink As an eyeball does Feel it, you can only feel The feelings inside you, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Sometime it’s a landscape view Blue stream of water In between the hills Day in, Day out Followed by a bright sun, Sometime it’s a portrait Hanging on a wall No movement and very still A beautiful face Wearing a set of pearls, Else, you cannot drag it Nor can you draw it On a sheet of paper, It has no shadow of it’s own But reckons the one you have Nor it can breathe But breathe with your lungs Nor it can see But see through your eyes Nor it can […]

NOWHERE TO GO (A Poem)

NOWHERE TO GO (a poem) By AMAN MITTAL Abandoned the house I use to live As loved ones are gone A long time before, Abandoned the road I use to walk Took me to places I could never thought, Abandoned the body I use to dwell For the face became unknown And the body rotted, Still I wonder Deeply concerned Where will I go now?

Dark House a poem  by Aman Mittal A  big dark house I  made it myself Brick by brick From a corner to top Hollow from inside Narrow by side Without an attic Roof is flat But a big cellar At the bottom Locked and shut Connected with tunnels Marrow and shallow Left incomplete To banish the escape Not a soul to dwell But to consist Only my dead thoughts.

THE YELLOW HOUSE

THE YELLOW HOUSE

THE YELLOW HOUSE: an appreciation for an art by Aman Mittal STANDING beside the only lamppost on the corner of the street, I took a glance over with big Yellow House. It was as yellow as it could be but the surface looked as smooth as butter. Made in Victorian fashion, it was obvious the roof top would be either crimson red or dull red in colour but this one was crimson red. The windows were quite French, painted in green as was the interior. How could one see the interior, well the windows were always open at this time of the day. But I could never see any movement up there. Not a single soul. Neighboring that house, designed […]

AN ILLUSION: a story of a Painter

AN ILLUSION: a story of a Painter

Posted April 14, 2013 by @amanhimself in MyWorks / 0 Comments

An Illusion: A Story of a Painter By Aman Mittal The gloom of the darkness and the heaviness of the rainfall had added another load of misery as he already had one.’People are always happy,’ he thought, carrying the overweight of misery on his shoulders, ‘And they become happier, day by day. And me. My load of miser is only getting more and no less. Even the single droplet of rain is incrementing the load by a ton. And this darkness makes the road hard and uncomfortable to travel. What am I to do? What wrong have I done? Whose fault is this?’ And with a long sigh he took a half crumbled cigarette out of his wet pocket which […]

ART COMPLETES NATURE

ART COMPLETES NATURE

Posted April 11, 2013 by @amanhimself in MyWorks / 0 Comments

People often brag about Nature. They say that Art makes one love Nature more than he loved her before. Art reveal her secrets. But my personal experience says the more we study Art, the less we care for nature. What Art really reveal are the Nature’s unfinished conditions and lack of design. Nature has good intentions but as Aristotle once said, she cannot carry out them. It is fortunate that nature is so imperfect, otherwise there would be no art. Art is a protest, an attempt to teach nature her proper place. As for the variety of nature, it’s a myth. It is the man’s imagination who with some blindness looks at her and says, ‘Beautiful it is, the landscape’. But the […]

Posted March 18, 2013 by @amanhimself in MyWorks / 0 Comments

SHALL I DIE? (A POEM) by Aman Mittal Let me die, fot I’ve seen a lot Let me die, for I had dreamed this of Days and nights, months and years Through intended summer and temperate winter, In eternal times, I’ve hath grown Light shall fade For my death does not brag, Let me die, For man can breathe And your eyes can see For my life shattered to death Will be someone’s birth in bright. But still I ask, As the eye of heaven shines, upon me Shall I die?

A DULL HERO

Posted January 20, 2013 by @amanhimself in MyWorks / 0 Comments

A DULL HERO by Aman Mittal a few words to empty my mind It has been four days since the sun had seen my woe. Misery is a mistress, a sickly mistress, who has but a single thorn which is enough for a man to die who has been in love with her. But I thank thee angry god that I never had such an emotion in me. If its a emotion. Love how it feels, I never felt. It is like an other world to me which is quite far from where I am now. People do fall in love and they speak of it as if it is eternal. They describe love as a godlike Romans rage which […]

GLORY and LOVELINESS

Posted June 25, 2012 by @amanhimself in MyWorks, Uncategorized / 0 Comments

GLORY AND LOVELINESS To Someone on their birthday… I am going to post here a poem I wrote few months back. It was written for the occasion but never fulfilled what it was determined to do. I hope you’ll enjoy it. In the land far away, On an island, I sat by With a bottle of ale, And the fair memories of the day before. Sun was bright, In the land of past, Where glory and loveliness, Were like true friends. Sun is gloomy, On the island of present, Where glory and loveliness, Have passed away, Into the east where sun might still be smiling But not here, not now. There were nymphs, And being young, being gay, Roses and […]

From Morning to Night, from Birth to Death. From a peasant’s mouth, to a queen’s speech. Even you get bored with them. OR you get exhausted, you cannot run from them. They will be inside you, and you will be surrounded by them. Every second of your life. Though SECOND and LIFE are also WORDS! They are your best friend, […]
