In a post-apocalyptic world, Earth is mostly covered by snow. A group of residents are traversing these frozen lands and being led by a man in search of his own father. The Diabolical army have always been one step ahead but are not the only concern of the group. Another major concern that exist is beating the nature in its own game.

The concept of the novel is not new yet they way it is presented is outstanding. I really like that the author does provide a small background to what the storyline leads too. It does help from a reader’s POV to immerse oneself in the story from page one. The storyline have twists and turns from that. The length of the chapters are short and very crisp. The effects shown in the form of writing of a frozen post-apocalyptic world has its positive. As one follow along a good amount of characters in these pages, one can clearly observe the development of the story as an adventure or an exploration (the blurb described in first paragraph is enough to support this).

The characterisation of the novel is not too deep. The amount of characters represented is good and enough to keep track for a reader and are intelligent in some manner (as if they have their own life). The writing style at first seem very crisp but as the storyline developed, it felt a bit of a drag in between but then again it came back to be thrilling. Another thing I did not like was the development of few characters did go well with the plot.

Overall, this novel has twists and turns that might take your breath away or if you are science fiction fan then you are definitely going to enjoy this one.

About the Author

Born in Bombay and brought up in Mumbai, Hywel has always been a big fan of mystery/suspense books, which keep you enthralled right up to the end, hooking you to the characters and the storyline. He works full-time at a Media agency and reading and now writing books has been a break for him from the daily stress of life; he is predominately a weekend writer. Couple of story ideas and the encouragement of his wife, Christina, and his family have led him to write his first story. In addition to books, he loves watching football and playing the guitar whenever he gets some free time.
