I went shopping.
A task I try to avoid until its books.
Only to make myself calm and to satisfy the lust of buying ebooks, I bought most of the books written by Colin Wright from Amazon. For those who do not know, Colin is many things. He is a traveller, a minimalist, author of many books both in genres of fiction and non-fiction. He also runs a podcast Let’s Know Things and is a co-founder of Asymmetrical Press.
I am not advertising anything about Colin in this post. All words are truly mine. Nor Colin is paying me to write this post. I am just excited to read his work. The reason I am excited is that I feel Colin being a 33 year old, it seems he has worked his way to earn a lifestyle that many want but are scared or pull themselves back to take even the first step. I want to know his secrets.
It is not the end of the world after all.
Apart from his digial nomad lifestyle, I am more insterested in Colin’s work because he has touched topics that most in their twenties and thirties are not talking about. We certainly need more young writers.
I will try to cover his books in form of book reviews soon.
What are you reading this weekend/coming week/month? What’s on your kindle?
You can let me know about your next/current read either in the comment below or on Twitter. Use hashtag #WhatsOnMyKindle
I just got some books on Kindle on my tablet yesterday and am really excited to start reading them.
Hope you enjoy reading them.
I think I definitely will.
I have just downloaded two books onto my tablet: the autobiography of Australian comedian, Kitty Flanagan, which is a Library book. I have also purchased a book from James J Cudney IV who is a blogger here and has just released his second book.
What is James’s book about? His name does sound royalish.
Yes, his name does have a ring to it:) Its a family saga and well worth the read.
Thanks for letting me know about his work.
I’m reading a couple of favorite authors, Neil Gaimen’s CORALINE and Qui Xiaolong’s DEATH OF A RED HEROINE.
I have read Coraline and I like that book. I haven’t heard or read Qui’s work. Will be checking it. Thanks for letting us know what you are reading.
I’m reading Rob Lee thrillers. Many may not know, Rob Lee was an animation artist for Fireman Sam.His thrillers are very adult, with intriguing twist. Half Moon Road followed by Blood Road and I’m looking forward to the next.
Hi! Thanks for letting us know about Rob Lee. I am definitely checking out one of the titles you mentioned.
I just finished Virginia Woolf’s classic “To The Lighthouse.” I was glad that I finally reread it, since its portrayal of one’s interior life really interested me this time around.
I like her style in that book.
The books sound interesting and just empty self-helpy type material.
Will keep an eye out.
And reminds me I need to buy a kindle 🙂
Not exactly self help. Few of them are memoirs others are full of opinions about and experiences about a particular lifestyle. Will keep you.update with their reviews. I have been using paperwhite for almost 3 years now. It is my fav thing since I do not have to charge it frequently 😋😅😆
Sounds good
