In the first part of this list series, I did include most of the titles that I have already read. In this list too, I am prohibiting common, well known books like Harry Potters, A Song of Ice and Fire, Fight Club. These are the books that readers are highly familiar with and there is high chance that most of us have seen the movies/tv-series and read the books. This list is also not specific to any genre.

I have God of Small Things on my list too, especially with her novel receiving the Booker nod. I want to read both books.
I am looking forward to read new year book that got released this year and got nominated again for Booker.
Also, Interpreter of Maladies is a great one. It was one of my favorite reads of 2016
Lahiri’s written words can be mesmerising at times.
Great idea for a position. And yes, High Fidelity is a must
Nick Hornby is a must read contemporary British writer IMO.
Loved Golden Compass, I’ll have to check out the other ones!
You’ve reminded me of three books I’ve always intended to read!
Glad to do so 🙂 “Adding books to fellow readers TBR’s since 2013.” 🙂
Now that’s a tag line to be proud of!!!
Haha 😀 I am!
Loved The god of small things as well as Interpreter of maladies. Pullman’s Golden compass is another favourite. Will you be reading his new release Book of Dust that comes out in a few months?
Yes, I am looking to his new work. I love the way his words gets into my imagination! I am also looking forward to read Roy’s new book this year.
Enjoyed the movie version of *High Fidelity* . . . I’ll have to hunt up the book!
I like the movie too. Close to the book. 🙂
That settles it; I have to check out Jhumpa Lahiri. Thanks for the great reminder.
